About Allen Hall Public Relations
Allen Hall PR is a Nationally Affiliated Public Relations Agency run by students at the University of Oregon.
We support students looking to expand their knowledge in the PR field by providing the opportunity to construct and implement public relations campaigns to maximize exposure and results for businesses and nonprofits across the nation.
Some of what we do includes: media relations, social media management, content creation, and event planning and support.
As the Director of Communications for Allen Hall Public Relations, I oversee the firm’s external communications across digital platforms. In this role, I lead the firm’s social media presence by overseeing content across AHPR’s accounts and guiding the overall direction of the firm’s digital communications.
I also lead the Communications Subcommittee by delegating tasks, coordinating projects, and providing creative direction for the firm’s content. This academic year, the firm’s goal is to increase its social media presence across digital platforms to create more awareness of the firm within the School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC). Our efforts to reach this goal include developing a social media calendar with creative and informative content that engages and appeals to the firm’s followers.
We also introduced the Communications Subcommittee as an effort to elevate the quality and creativity of the firm’s content. As Director of Communications, I have taken on a leadership role within the subcommittee by providing creative direction, delegating tasks, giving feedback throughout the content development process, and communicating between the firm’s leadership and the subcommittee.
Since stepping into this position, my leadership in coordinating the firm’s communications efforts has contributed to a 29.3% increase in the firm’s visibility across social media platforms, helping expand awareness of Allen Hall Public Relations within the SOJC community.
